Student Records

Baltimore County Public Schools complies with state and federal laws and regulations in matters of student record retention and disposal. Additionally, Board Policy and Superintendent’s Rule 5230 establish guidelines on the release and amendment of student records.

As defined by Superintendent’s Rule 5230, student records include those records that are: directly related to a student; and maintained by BCPS or by a party acting for BCPS. “Student Records” also includes:

  1. Records concerning disciplinary actions taken against students; and
  2. Records relating to a student’s employment by BCPS.

The 365体育世界杯 contains explicit direction concerning the minimum retention periods for certain student records; these periods can also be found in Superintendent’s Rule 5230.
